Gay-Bashed Before We Can Defile the Pure

Born gay into a world controlled by straights
with no say for us; it’s they who dictate.
They’ve the right to murder those viewed perverse
because oppression is what we deserve.

Gay-bashed before we can defile the pure
with homo disgrace they struggle to cure.
Feminist, misogynist, black or white,
our minds crack under their vile words of spite.

A delicate but poisonous flower
that should never exert too much power.
Kept oppressed to protect the young male blood,
and trampled upon ’til drowned in the mud.

Sex education nailed us with falsehood,
and dictated one version of manhood.
The law forbade talk of boys loving boys,
and hammered us with their hetero noise.

We need hetero tolerance to live,
but many still find that too hard to give.
To many we’re seen as child molesters,
who must never outshine our oppressors.

Make them laugh with our abnormalities
while we all overlook their brutalities.
A freak-show that entertains our betters,
but we too weep over old love letters.

Bashed, raped and murdered by hetero hate,
then thrown from towers in our homo state.
Secretly they’d love to give it a try,
but instead most remain mute while we die.

They wish to crush while we wish to create,
but too often we learn just to self-hate.
God forgive them for He made us this way:
forgiving, loving, beautiful and gay.
